BroadBand Light Therapy in Princeton
Searching for Sciton BBL BroadBand Light Therapy in Princeton? Dr. Hazen offers BBL as a non-surgical solution for skin that has suffered sun damage, or contains unwanted imperfections.
What is BroadBand Light Therapy?
BroadBand Light Therapy is a type of intense pulsed light treatment that penetrates deep layers of the skin to eliminate and reduce the signs of sun damage and aging. BBL is used to address discoloration and freckles to give the skin a clearer, fresher appearance.
How does BBL work?
First, Dr. Hazen will apply a cooling gel to offset the heat created from the BroadBand Light Therapy. This keeps the patient’s skin cool during the procedure. For most patients there is minimal pain, but a numbing cream can be applied for more sensitive individuals.
BBL uses intense pulsed light to warm the top layer of your skin, stimulating the cells and causing them to produce collagen. It also eliminates pigmented lesions, and melanin to brighten the color of the skin. The end result is rejuvenated skin that no longer has freckles or unwanted pigment, making it smoother and younger looking.
What areas can be treated?
BBL therapy is primarily used for the face, but is also used on the neck, chest, back, or hands. Any skin that is often exposed to sunlight can be treated.
How often should I get BBL?
For the best possible results, we recommend getting BBL two to four times per year.
