Sculptra Injections in Princeton, N.J.
Proudly serving Mercer County
Sculptra is one of the most exciting fillers on the market today. Unlike other fillers, which simply plump and volumize the treated area, Sculptra actually stimulates the body’s own production of natural collagen, which slows down with age. Sculptra treatment provides noticeable, long-lasting wrinkle correction and gives the skin a smoother, plumper appearance.
Sculptra is formulated with poly-l-actic acid, a synthetic lactic acid, and designed to improve the appearance of facial creases like nasolabial folds (i.e., lines extending from the corners of the nose to the mouth). It is also helpful for plumping up areas of the face that have lost volume due to the effects of aging – including sunken temples, a thin chin or a bony jawline.
Sculptra injections can be performed in our office in less than an hour. After numbing the treatment area, the provider injects small amounts of Sculptra just underneath the skin through a thin needle. Once injected, the Sculptra starts to stimulate the production of natural collagen. After the injections, patients can resume work or their daily activities almost immediately.
Sculptra does not produce instant results. It takes several months for natural collagen to develop and the treated area to look smoother and softer. As the body’s own collagen develops, the poly-l-lactic acid in the Sculptra slowly and naturally dissolves.
Each patient’s needs are unique, but many people require a series of treatments to achieve an optimal outcome.

How long do the results of treatment last?
Treatment results have been shown to last two years or longer.
Does Sculptra require recovery downtime?
No recovery downtime is needed after Sculptra injections. Patients can immediately go back to the office, school or their regular activities. Vigorous exercise or activity should be avoided for approximately 24 hours after treatment.
Are there any side effects of Sculptra treatment?
Sculptra has been used worldwide since 1999 and is FDA-approved for safety. When Sculptra is administered by a qualified provider, serious side effects are rare.

Since the product does not contain human or animal components, there is no need for allergy testing prior to treatment.
