Hair Restoration Procedures in Princeton
Proudly serving Mercer County
If you are one of the 50 million men or 30 million women suffering from thinning hair, a full head of natural hair can be yours, thanks to advanced hair restoration treatments with Dr. Jill Hazen of Hazen Plastic Surgery P.A.. Dr. Hazen understands that her Princeton hair restoration patients are unique, and she offers a wide range of leading-edge, minimally invasive treatments to meet different needs and goals.
NeoGraft uses the follicular unit extraction method, which removes individual hair follicles from hair-bearing scalp and transplants them into thinning or balding areas. This minimally invasive procedure is very gentle, as it requires no stitches or staples, no unsightly linear scar or long recovery times. There is little discomfort (if any) and minimal restrictions on activities after treatment. The results of NeoGraft treatment look completely natural.
As an added benefit of NeoGraft, the technique can be used to hide visible linear scars from previous “strip” hair restoration procedures.
Nutrafol is an oral supplement to nourish hair naturally and improve the appearance of thinning hair. Made from shark and mollusk powder, Nutrafol is 100 percent drug-free and free of common allergens like wheat, gluten and shellfish. There are two formulations of Nutrafol, one designed to meet the needs of men and the other for women. Dr. Hazen recommends taking the supplements for at least three to six months or longer to see results.
Viviscal supplements are designed to promote thicker, healthier hair from the inside out. They specifically nourish hair follicles during the anagen (growing) stage with an active ingredient called the AminoMar marine complex. The supplements also contain other vitamins and minerals intended to promote healthy, glossy, thick hair.
Studies show that Viviscal produces noticeable results in as few as three months.
Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) Hair Restoration
Platelet-rich fibrin matrix is a component in our blood that helps to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. PRFM has many cosmetic uses and can be used in hair restoration. During a PRFM procedure, we will take a small blood sample and put it through a centrifuge to separate the PRFM from the rest of the blood’s components. Then, we inject the PRFM directly into thinning or balding areas of the scalp.
We can also combine PRFM with NeoGraft in certain cases.
