BroadBand Light (BBL)™ is a highly effective IPL (intense pulsed light or “photofacial”) therapy treatment that delivers bursts of light energy to improve a wide variety of skin imperfections including age spots, acne, sun damage, dull skin, and more. Dr. Hazen offers BroadBand Light therapy at her Princeton, NJ center as a non-surgical solution to address these conditions and help patients achieve radiant, healthy skin.

What is BroadBand Light therapy?

BroadBand Light therapy penetrates deep layers of the skin to eliminate and reduce the damage of the skin and signs of aging. BBL is used to address discoloration and freckles to give the skin a clearer, fresher appearance. How does BroadBand Light Work?

BroadBand Light uses intense pulsed light to warm the top layer of the skin, stimulating the cells and triggering them to produce collagen. The therapy also eliminates pigmented lesions and melanin to brighten the color of the skin. The end result is rejuvenated skin that no longer has freckles or unwanted pigment, making it smoother and younger-looking.

Key benefits of BroadBand Light

BroadBand Light - Treatment Details

You will be given protective eyewear before the treatment begins. Dr. Hazen will apply a cooling gel to offset the heat and keep your skin cool. The BroadBand Light device will emit quick bursts of light energy directly into the skin. Most patients report minimal pain, but a numbing cream can be applied if you are more sensitive. Treatments typically take approximately 20 minutes, but the exact length of treatment time varies from patient to patient. Dr. Hazen performs BBL photofacial treatments at her Princeton, New Jersey office.
